Join a global discussion with celebrity chefs, indigenous peoples, youth climate activists, small farmer businesswomen, heads of state, and everyone in between, on how in the next 10 years we must transform our food systems.
Nutritious and safe food allows for healthy and productive lives, and the myriad of ways in which we produce, process and consume food—our food systems—touch every aspect of human existence. When they function well, food systems have the power to bring us together as families, communities and nations. And we owe it to ourselves to drive progress to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) we have committed to achieving in 10 years. This 24-Hour Global Relay Conversation, brought to you by the UN Food Systems Summit and in partnership with Future Food Institute, will be a highly interactive and relevant discussion for World Food Day, while also acting as the official launch of the Food Systems Summit Dialogues. This online marathon conversation will provide an opportunity for governments, communities and citizens to discuss what matters most to them as we build back better to transform food systems across the world. So, grab some lunch and let us break bread or tortillas or ugali or chapatti together as we talk about what matters most to us, our families and our communities.

The UN Food Systems Summit will launch bold new actions, solutions and strategies to deliver progress on all 17 SDGs, each of which relies on healthier, more sustainable and equitable food systems. The Summit will awaken the world to the fact that we all must work together to transform the way the world produces, consumes and thinks about food. The need is urgent, and our ambition is high. Over the next year, the Summit’s activities will call on a diverse range of participants from across the world… and mostly importantly YOU— to identify the most powerful ways to make our local and global food systems stronger.
