Our Approach: From Vision to Action

WP1 – Project Management & Ethics

Ensures transparent coordination, ethical compliance, and efficient delivery of all project activities.

➡ Impact: A structured governance system and risk-management framework guaranteeing accountability, inclusivity, and ethical excellence.

WP2 – RegenerAction Blueprint & Pilot Implementation

Develops and tests the RegenerAction Blueprint, a scalable model for regenerative rural development. Three pilot sites (Italy, Latvia, and a third EU location) serve as living labs to validate methodologies in real-world contexts.

Impact: A replicable open-source framework for transforming rural communities into resilient hubs of sustainability.

WP3 – Strengthening Community Connections & Leadership Networks

Builds the Community of Practice (CoP) for regenerative transformation and delivers leadership programs for local and policy leaders. Includes the RegenerAction Summit series and training accredited by EIT Food.

Impact: Over 550 participants in co-creation processes and at least 30 trained local leaders fostering systemic change.

WP4 – Sustained Innovation & Collaboration for Resilience

Activates rural innovation ecosystems through: Farmer training in regenerative techniques Boot Camps for Climate Shapers (chefs, consumers, entrepreneurs) Startup incubation and mentoring for rural innovators

Impact: 45 farms transitioned to regenerative practices, 150 startups supported, 220 EIT graduates trained in sustainability.

WP5 – Integrated Impact Assessment

Led by Università di Napoli Federico II, this WP designs and applies a comprehensive model to measure environmental, social, and economic outcomes.

Impact: A data-driven evaluation framework and dashboard to quantify the benefits of regenerative agriculture and guide EU-wide replication.

WP6 – Integrated Landscape Finance

Led by EcoAgriculture Partners, this WP develops and tests sustainable financial strategies to fund regenerative transitions.

Impact: The creation of an Integrated Landscape Finance Accelerator and a European Finance Guidance Framework for rural regeneration.

WP7 – Communication, Dissemination & Exploitation

Shapes the narrative and visibility of RegenerAction through digital media, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge sharing. Includes website development, social media campaigns, and cross-network collaborations with existing Communities of Practice.

Impact: 100+ results disseminated, 9 success stories shared, and an open-access digital hub for replication.

RegenerAction: Building Resilient Communities

Open call for rural European pilot site to build regenerative food system model

RegenerAction is a European initiative designed to revitalize rural areas by replicating a successful regenerative food system model tested in Pollica, Italy.
Building on the partnership between the Future Food Institute and the Municipality of Pollica, the project develops a scalable blueprint that empowers local ecosystems to co-create regenerative communities.  Through collaboration among farmers, leaders, and citizens, it co-creates locally tailored blueprints for sustainable growth, guided by Future Food Institute’s frameworks for political, environmental, human, social, cultural, and economic regeneration.
