Secure your spot for an unparalleled international learning experience!
We all love our dear Earth and wish to “save the planet”, but how can we do this in our daily lives? Develop the integral ecological approach and become a true “Climate Shaper” capable of proposing innovative and sustainable solutions to fight for a truly sustainable future!
Leveraging experiential learning methods, Boot Camps are a combination of interactive workshops, key note speeches, local food producer site visits, prototyping exercises, teamwork-based innovation challenges, and mentorship sessions all presented by visionary entrepreneurs, policymakers, innovators, and thought leaders.
The Mediterranean Diet is more than a list of ingredients. It is a lifestyle that reconnects humanity with the planet that hosts us, providing a model for a new type of sociality that is grounded in integral ecology. It gives us a wealth of scientific, cultural, traditional skills, and knowledge upon which we can build a more sustainable future.
The program will take place in Pollica, Italy, recognized by UNESCO as an emblematic community for the Mediterranean Diet.

The closest airport is Naples International Airport.
If arriving by car, you can set the navigation to Pollica and park in one of the public parking areas on the edges of the town.
If coming by train, we strongly advise you to take the train to Vallo della Lucania-Castelnuovo. Future Food Institute will arrange transportation from the station to Pollica, as well as the return trip back to the station once the program is over.
If coming by plane, there is a shuttle bus from the airport that will take you to the Central Train Station in Naples. You can buy the shuttle ticket along with the train ticket from the Italian railway website, by inserting “Napoli Capodichino Aeroporto” as the departure station and “Vallo della Lucania-Castelnuovo” as the arrival station.
Upon admission to the program, you will be contacted for information on your travel plans so that Future Food can assist you with your transportation arrangements.
Pollica is a small, walkable village that is easy to explore on foot.
Transportation to any visits or activities outside of the Paideia Campus will be provided and coordinated by Future Food.
Participants stay in local B&Bs throughout Pollica. Accommodation in a shared room is included in the program fee. For an additional fee we can provide participants with single rooms.
You will be asked your accommodation preferences once accepted to the program.
We consider food an important part of the learning experience. All meals are provided during the program and planned to support your learning journey. Participants will have a hands on experience by preparing some meals during the program.
Upon admission to the program, you will be asked about your dietary preferences, allergies and intolerances.
There is a small grocery store, pharmacy, restaurant, and bar in the town should you need anything else during your stay. However we encourage participants to bring anything they made need with them as options are limited in town.
A packing list with recommended items to bring will be provided before your arrival. Get in touch if you have any specific questions.
