Celebrating Arte Fiera 2019, Scuderia Future Food Urban CooLab will host the last act of the Climate Smart Evolution initiative, thanks to the collaboration between E-QO and Future Food Institute. The event will take place on February 1st, from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
What is Climate Smart Evolution about? A project that combines art, photography, knowledge and qualified experts involved in the fight against climate change with the aim to raise the attention on a various topics, including climate emergencies, environmental sustainability, green and circular economy, energy, and to facilitate the dissemination of information and awareness.
40 pictures taken by renowned photographers from all over the world explained through the captions collected in the homonymous publication. The result is a special project in the field of sustainability, scientific and applied research, public policies and best practices. An intimate, emotional and enriching journey. 80 testimonies from a network of experts in the areas of green economy and policy making.
The photographic section includes several images from the Addressing Climate Change Legacy exhibition curated by Hossein Farmani presented at COP 21, the climate conference held in Paris in 2015. These images show how tragic the situation is globally: the immense accumulation of waste in Chinese landfills, the agony of endangered animals, the wrecks of houses hit by Hurricane Sandy, the crows in central Tokyo building their nests out of metal hangers because they can no longer find tree twigs. Some are high impact images, while others contain a message of hope towards human potential, and the ability of nature to self-protect itself and to evolve. Being a universal language, photography can, more effectively than other means of communication, send a powerful message to the viewer.
Climate Smart Evolution is moreover about the needed actions we all have to take to increase awareness on citizens and institutions.
A program of events will be held at Scuderia Future Food Urban Coolab during the whole exhibition with the aim of involving both the student and the business community in becoming ambassadors of the fight against climate change.
