Applications Open for the Second Edition of SAFER

The consortium formed by the University of Salerno, Marmara University, e Future Food Institute is pleased to announce that the SAFER programme — Student Entrepreneurship for an Agri-Food Ecosystem Recovery — is officially part of the Inspire Programmes for 2025 by EIT Food.

This is the second edition of SAFER, and its mission remains as strong as ever: to raise awareness about the complexity of food systems and promote entrepreneurial initiatives as solutions to the pressing challenges facing our natural ecosystems. By fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among participants, SAFER aims to enhance the creation of innovative startups that can drive the transition towards sustainable agrifood systems.

SAFER is designed for students, recent graduates, aspiring entrepreneurs, startup founders, e young researchers from diverse educational backgrounds. With a multidisciplinary approach, SAFER equips participants with the skills necessary to tackle the complex challenges of modern food systems.

The programme focuses on developing fundamental skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, e entrepreneurship, encouraging innovative solutions and entrepreneurial projects in the agrifood sector. Participants will gain essential knowledge in entrepreneurship e food systems through training in entrepreneurial self-efficacy, food technologies, design thinking, prosperity thinking, e business idea development.

SAFER is aligned with the Agrifood System Technical Capability at the Practice level, ensuring a comprehensive foundation to address and solve the challenges within the agrifood ecosystem.
