Future Food Institute is proud to be part of ESG4PMChange: Advancing ESG Integration in Project Management
At Future Food Institute, we are committed to fostering sustainable innovation and transformative education. We are excited to announce our participation in the ESG4PMChange progetto, a pioneering initiative dedicated to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into project management education and training. This project represents a crucial step toward aligning business practices with sustainability imperatives across Europe and beyond.
About ESG4PMChange
The ESG4PMChange project is a collaborative effort bringing together higher education institutions (HEIs), vocational education and training (VET) providers, PM2 Alliance, and business actors to address the rising demand for ESG-focused competencies in the workforce. By fostering knowledge exchange and cooperation, the initiative aims to accelerate innovation, reinforce sustainability agendas, and create a meaningful multiplier effect in the industry.
A key aspect of the project is conducting an education gap analysis to align existing training programs with the evolving job market needs for ESG-focused project management roles. Based on this analysis, the project will establish standardized professional profiles and a competency framework, ensuring that project management professionals are equipped with the necessary ESG integration skills.
To bridge the gap between theory and practice, ESG4PMChange pioneers an innovative learning framework that incorporates hands-on experience through Living Labs. These immersive environments allow students and professionals to apply ESG principles in real-world project settings, enhancing their learning experience and ensuring practical relevance.
Furthermore, the project will introduce a digital resource hub, integrating Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) e Open Educational Resources (OERs) to provide high-quality, accessible learning opportunities. It will also establish a micro-credential framework to formally recognize and validate ESG project management competencies, aligning with both educational and industry standards to support professional development in this crucial field.
Future Food Institute’s Role
Future Food Institute (FFI) is responsible for facilitating the co-creation process of the Living Lab model in the ESG4PMChange project. FFI will design the ESG4PMChange enabler-driven model for Living Labs and provide continuous feedback and validation from a social enterprise perspective. Additionally, FFI will offer work-based learning opportunities for students, ensuring practical engagement with ESG principles in project management education.
A Step Toward Sustainable Project Management
Our involvement in ESG4PMChange aligns with our broader mission of catalyzing progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By embedding ESG principles into project management education, we are equipping future leaders with the tools to drive systemic change across industries.
This initiative is supported under the Erasmus+ Alliances for Education and Enterprises (ERASMUS-EDU-2024-PI-ALL-INNO) call, reinforcing the European commitment to sustainability-driven education and professional development.
We are proud to contribute to this project and look forward to collaborating with our partners in shaping a more responsible, innovative, and sustainable future for project management.
