Entering its fifth year, SKS (Smart Kitchen Summit) will be better than ever as it brings together leaders across the food and cooking ecosystems to discover new technologies, explore solutions and models that are working and catalyze partnerships and collaboration across the food value chain. The Smart Kitchen Summit is intended for CEOs, strategists, culinary experts, design experts, product creators and retailers interested in how technology is changing food and cooking. This year’s event will be at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Washington on October 7-8, 2019. This conference gathers people on the front lines of kitchen technology to try to figure out how to move the digital revolution deeper into the kitchen. 60% of the population in America spend most of their time in the kitchen. The coming kitchen technology, as people say, will go well beyond a screen on the refrigerator door that allows you to check the weather while you search recipes and update the family calendar.
SPEAKERS
If you’re creating tech to change the world of food, cooking or the pro/consumer kitchen, we want to hear from you. The SKS Startup Showcase is a well-established food tech startup competition that gives early-stage companies the opportunity to pitch and demo their innovation to leading executives, influencers, journalists, analysts and funders interested in the space. You have something to say about the future of food tech – we want to hear it! Judges will select between 10 and 20 finalists to bring their products to SKS in October and present their idea with a pitch on stage and a showcase table at their FoodTech Innovation reception on October 7, 2019, following the first day of SKS. Winners will be presented with a trophy on stage and receive an annual membership to WeWork Food Labs. The finalists will be notified in early September 2019. Applications are open through August 15, 2019, at THIS LINK
GUESTS
You will also have the opportunity to hear from the technologists and companies who are leading the charge into the kitchens of the future. The 2019 program includes a panel about Food Waste that will look at the future of food storage and a panel on the food blockchain. Beyond talks and panels, there will be startup showcase pitches, multiple tracks during the afternoon sessions to meet with like-minded attendees, and of course plenty of time for networking. Are you interested in food waste reduction, the next CPG products, or the connected kitchen? You would better be at #SKS2019 in Seattle on October 7-8.
