Beginning 5 November 2021, participants in the <a href=\"https:\/\/futurefood.academy\/digital-academy\/digital-boot-camp\/\">Food and Climate Shapers Digital Boot Camp<\/a>, jointly organized by the Future Food Institute and the Food and Agriculture Administration (FAO) of the United Nations, will be able to earn three (3) university-level credits thanks to a new partnership with the University of Nebraska &#8211; Lincoln, a prominent public research university in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Developed to provide global changemakers, interested in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with an innovative, real-world, and completely digital experience to explore the science, technology, and heroes involved in transforming global food systems, this program was recognized in June 2021 by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goabroad.com\/\">GoAbroad<\/a> with the prestigious <a href=\"https:\/\/futurefood.academy\/2021\/06\/07\/future-food-institute-wins-award-for-most-innovative-new-program-study-abroad\/\">Most Innovative New Program Award<\/a>. This month-long virtual experience engages government and industry in actionable innovation, empowers communities, and prepares the next generation of leaders with the skills and mindset needed for a professional career building a sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are incredibly grateful and energized by the positive reception this digital learning platform continues to have on our Climate Shapers and their communities,\u201d commented Sara Roversi, President of the Future Food Institute. \u201cHaving just won the GoAbroad award for Most Innovative New Program and now this incredible partnership with UNL acknowledges that the world is hungry for a new model of learning and a new mindset towards our relationship with the planet that hosts us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Upon successful completion of the Boot Camp, participants will receive their Food &amp; Climate Shaper Digital Certificate, presented by FFI and FAO. And for any participants enrolled in an American or affiliated university, the program will provide the opportunity to earn 3 university credits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFuture Food continues to push the boundaries of professional training by leveraging international and intergenerational collaborations and experiences. We equip tomorrow\u2019s leaders with new skills and new frameworks for addressing and resolving the food system challenges ahead. We are energized by this partnership with UNL, a globally-recognized university, because it highlights both the academic quality of our Digital Boot Camps and the urgent need for training programs that address the vulnerabilities of our food systems.
