{"id":16541,"date":"2023-05-29T16:11:35","date_gmt":"2023-05-29T14:11:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/futurefoodinstitute.org\/?p=16541"},"modified":"2023-05-29T20:06:06","modified_gmt":"2023-05-29T18:06:06","slug":"aperta-la-call-ewa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/futurefoodinstitute.org\/ja\/2023\/05\/29\/aperta-la-call-ewa\/","title":{"rendered":"Aperta la call EWA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Empowering Women in Agrifood &#8211; opportunit\u00e0 per 10 donne di talento<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mercoled\u00ec 31 Maggio, alle ore 9, il Centro Ligure Produttivit\u00e0 (CLP) ospiter\u00e0 il Future Food Institute in un webinar informativo su EWA &#8211; Empowering Women in Agrifood &#8211; di EIT Food, le cui candidature scadranno l\u201911 giugno (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.f6s.com\/ewa-italia-2023\/apply\">https:\/\/www.f6s.com\/ewa-italia-2023\/apply<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si tratta di un programma per lo sviluppo dell\u2019imprenditoria femminile che, tramite formazione, mentorship e un premio in denaro, supporter\u00e0 10 donne alla guida di una societ\u00e0 o con un\u2019idea da sviluppare.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EWA \u00e8 un\u2019iniziativa di EIT Food promossa in 11 paesi (Estonia, Grecia, Italia, Polonia, Portogallo, Serbia, Slovenia, Spagna, Turchia, Romania e Ucraina) e portata avanti in Italia dal Future Food Institute con l\u2019obiettivo di far emergere lo straordinario potenziale dell\u2019imprenditoria femminile, risolvendo alcune tra le pi\u00f9 importanti sfide del settore agroalimentare: superare il divario di genere ancora esistente, promuovere la presenza femminile in posizioni dirigenziali e e aumentare il numero delle start-up guidate da donne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Secondo un recente rapporto della FAO, l\u2019agroalimentare rappresenta in tutto il mondo una delle principali fonti d\u2019impiego delle donne (36%). Ciononostante, lo stigma della disuguaglianza di genere si estende anche in tale settore: le donne hanno generalmente ruoli marginali, salari inferiori con condizioni lavorative peggiori, impieghi irregolari, poco qualificati, e ad alta intensit\u00e0 di lavoro. Promuovere l&#8217;empowerment femminile apporterebbe benefici diffusi a livello ambientale, economico, politico e culturale. Tornando al rapporto FAO, \u00e8 interessante notare un dato relativo agli enormi vantaggi generati da progetti che promuovono l\u2019emancipazione femminile: se la met\u00e0 dei piccoli produttori potesse beneficiarne, si verificherebbe un aumento di reddito per circa 58 milioni di persone. Le conseguenze? Efficienza e sostenibilit\u00e0 (non solo ambientale) dei sistemi agroalimentari, e benessere diffuso. EWA si inserisce esattamente in tale progettualit\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nel webinair del 31 Maggio, il Future Food Institute presenter\u00e0 il progetto illustrandone le modalit\u00e0 di partecipazione e di svolgimento, e dando voce alle participanti delle precedenti edizioni.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si tratta di un primo passo per favorire la diffusione di un iniziativa che, in Italia, valorizza l\u2019importante contributo femminile a un settore essenziale e strategico. Perch\u00e9 tutelare, valorizzare e dare spazio alle donne dell\u2019agrifood \u00e8 un aspetto che non si pu\u00f2 pi\u00f9 posticipare.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n***\n\nEmpowering Women in Agrifood \u2013 an opportunity for 10 talented women\n\nOn Wednesday 31st (May), at 9 am, the Centro Ligure Productivity (CLP) will host the Future Food Institute with an informative webinar on EWA \u2013 Empowering Women in Agrifood \u2013 a program by EIT Food, and for those who decide to participate will have time until\nthe 11th of June (here the link to apply: https:\/\/www .f6s.com\/ewa-italia-2023\/apply).\nIt is a program for the development of female entrepreneurship and it will include: training, mentorship, and a cash prize. The main aim is to support 10 women who lead a company or have an idea to develop.\n\nEWA is an EIT Food program promoted in 11 countries (Estonia, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Romania, and Ukraine) and carried out in Italy by the Future Food Institute intending to bring out the extraordinary potential of female entrepreneurship, solving some of the most important challenges of the agri-food sector: overcoming the existing gender gap, promoting the presence of women in management positions and increasing the number of start-ups led by women.\n\nAccording to a recent FAO report, the agri-food industry represents one of the main sources of employment for women worldwide (36%). Nonetheless, the stigma of gender inequality also extends to this sector: women generally have marginal roles, lower wages with worse working conditions, and irregular, low-skilled, and labor-intensive jobs. Promoting women&#8217;s empowerment would bring environmental, economic, political, and cultural benefits.\nReturning to the FAO report, it is interesting to notice a fact related to the enormous benefits generated by projects that promote women&#8217;s emancipation: if half of the small producers could benefit from them, there would be an increase in income for about 58 million people. The consequences? Efficiency and sustainability (not only environmental) of agri-food systems, and widespread well-being. EWA fits exactly into this planning.\n\nIn the webinar of May 31st, the Future Food Institute will present the project illustrating the methods of participation and implementation and giving a voice to the participants of the previous editions.\nThis is a first step to promote the dissemination of an initiative, in Italy, which enhances the important contribution of women to an essential and strategic sector.
