Inadequate access to natural resources, further exacerbated by climate change, imperil food security, which in turn accelerates the violence of conflicts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>[Humana Communitas]: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Agriculture is a global industry that relies mostly on small farms. 72% of the roughly 570 million farms worldwide operate on less than one hectare and an additional 12% on less than two hectares. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Participants will investigate the strict interconnections among <\/span><\/i><b><i>farms<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">, <\/span><\/i><b><i>climate change,<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> and <\/span><\/i><b><i>food insecurity<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">, while reviewing the best practices in terms of <\/span><\/i><b><i>mitigation and adaptation<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> to global warming.
