Il cibo \u00e8 energia, nutrimento, socialit\u00e0; \u00e8 il veicolo di valori, cultura, simboli, identit\u00e0.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ma il sistema agroalimentare \u00e8 anche un importante motore del cambiamento climatico, con un contributo che si aggira tra il 25-30% delle emissioni globali di gas serra (GHG) nell'atmosfera.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pertanto, puntare su soluzioni climaticamente intelligenti non \u00e8 solo una mera definizione che ben si adatta all'era della quarta rivoluzione industriale, ma una necessit\u00e0 urgente da attuare per raggiungere i tre pilastri dello sviluppo sostenibile: Persone,* Pianeta** e Prosperit\u00e0***.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poich\u00e9 non possiamo separare la sicurezza alimentare dalla nostra dipendenza da risorse naturali limitate e il cibo tocca trasversalmente tutti gli SDG, solo una forma di innovazione a basso impatto ambientale \u00e8 in grado di massimizzare la produttivit\u00e0 dell'agricoltura, aumentare l'efficienza delle risorse e coltivare alimenti pi\u00f9 nutrienti.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In questo senso, le tecnologie IoT e i sistemi di monitoraggio digitalizzati ci aiutano a ridurre massicciamente il consumo di terra e acqua. Per gestire le emissioni di carbonio nel settore alimentare, non possiamo nemmeno ignorare la necessit\u00e0 di una transizione adattativa basata sugli ecosistemi. Come raccomanda la FAO, nel breve termine questo pu\u00f2 portare a ridurre o eliminare le emissioni di gas serra dove possibile, ad esempio scegliendo la produzione di colture in base alle specifiche condizioni climatiche dell'area<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> o optando per le compensazioni di carbonio. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ma a lungo termine, n\u00e9 i meccanismi di adattamento e mitigazione saranno sufficienti da soli per procedere verso una trasformazione ecologica significativa, sia in termini di conservazione ambientale che etica. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La ricerca rivela che le politiche di mitigazione del clima possono entrare in conflitto e compromettere il consumo di cibo e la fame nel mondo.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> L'obiettivo che ci siamo posti all'interno del Future Food Institute \u00e8 quello di sviluppare innovazioni dirompenti nella produzione alimentare da una prospettiva olistica, il che significa che una radicale innovazione culturale deve precedere una pura innovazione tecnologica. I cambiamenti sociali implicano, ad esempio, la preferenza per un'alimentazione a bassa impronta di carbonio, come la dieta mediterranea, o la ricerca di alternative alle tradizionali proteine di origine animale. Questo \u00e8 molto pi\u00f9 che imporre dall'alto ai consumatori modelli educativi diversi; richiede piuttosto un approccio dal basso verso l'alto che rafforzi la resilienza, rigeneri l'ambiente e tutti i preziosi servizi che esso fornisce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Partendo dal primo, People, si prevede che entro il 2050 la scarsit\u00e0 di risorse causer\u00e0 una riduzione del 10% della produzione agricola globale<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">costringendo 700 milioni di persone a diventare migranti ambientali.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Queste disposizioni contrastano con la richiesta di aumentare la produzione alimentare almeno del 60% e di soddisfare le esigenze della popolazione mondiale, che si prevede raggiunger\u00e0 i 9,7 miliardi di persone entro il 2050,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> chiaramente aggravano la sfida di nutrire le generazioni presenti e future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">**Anche il secondo pilastro, il Pianeta, sar\u00e0 pesantemente compromesso senza un approccio imminente e completo all'intelligenza climatica. Quasi due terzi degli ecosistemi globali sono stati degradati a causa dei cambiamenti climatici, dell'urbanizzazione, dello sviluppo socio-economico e di politiche inefficienti.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00c8 rivelatore il fatto che l'UNCCD segnala gi\u00e0 13 Paesi, solo dell'Unione Europea, che hanno dichiarato l'allarme desertificazione.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">***Parimenti, le soluzioni climaticamente intelligenti rappresentano un'enorme opportunit\u00e0 in termini di prosperit\u00e0: ad oggi sono stati investiti 2 miliardi di dollari in queste aziende di \"carbonio circolare\", sviluppando il potenziale per diventare una delle industrie pi\u00f9 importanti del XXI secolo.\"<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2c5fe4b elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"2c5fe4b\"
