Il cibo che mangiamo, l'aria che respiriamo, l'ambiente in cui viviamo dipendono dal mantenimento della salute del mondo naturale. Oggi gli ecosistemi globali si trovano ad affrontare minacce senza precedenti. La natura \u00e8 in declino. Questo degrado \u00e8 il risultato diretto dell'attivit\u00e0 antropica e costituisce una minaccia per il benessere umano, con il risultato di erodere le fondamenta stesse delle nostre economie, della sicurezza alimentare, della salute e della qualit\u00e0 della vita a livello mondiale. In questo contesto, la tutela della biodiversit\u00e0, di cui si celebra la giornata internazionale il 22 maggio, pu\u00f2 agire come un vero e proprio catalizzatore chiave per trasformare i sistemi agricoli e alimentari e migliorare la salute umana e l'ambiente in cui viviamo.
