Future Food, our international organisation dedicated to innovative collaborations that will revolutionise the food ecosystem, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding.<\/p>\n

The investors are Valerio Nannini<\/a>, who late last year left his role as SVP Head of Strategies and Performance at Nestl\u00e9 global HQ and Mauro Piloni<\/a>, CEO of disruptive foodservice technology company Exever, and former president of Whirlpool R&D.<\/p>\n

In addition to the investment, Nannini and Piloni will join the Future Food board of directors. Piloni and Nannini\u2019s appointments come as Future Food enters a critical phase of growth and upscaling, doubling its four existing international offices and extending its scope: earlier this month, the United Nations announced the UN Organization for Industrial Development would partner with the body\u2019s non-profit arm, the Future Food Institute, on its latest award for global innovation in agribusiness<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sara Roversi – founder of the Future Food Institute and thought leader at Future Food – commented: “This is a critical time for those of us working to address the world\u2019s global food challenges. Here at the Future Food, we’re laser-focused on accelerating transformational and impactful innovations; I couldn’t be more excited to have such seasoned business leaders come on board at such a pivotal moment”.<\/em><\/p>\n

Nannini has an exhaustive understanding of disruptive technologies, digital environments, and their commercial applications. A respected driver of innovation, he has a track record of engaging with academia, accelerators, VCs and start-ups, as well as with major strategic partnerships and alliances, to accelerate growth.<\/p>\n

Piloni, whose scale-up Exever owns the patented disruptive \u201cwarm preservation\u201d technology, is an acknowledged leader in disruptive technologies and their market deployment. Working in innovation in both corporate and start-up environments, Piloni is also a business angel and advisor for tier 1 banks and VCs.<\/p>\n

Together, Piloni and Nannini\u2019s international business expertise extends across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia, Oceania, North America and Latin America.<\/p>\n

Mauro Piloni commented: “Food and nutrition are the cornerstones for a sustainable and healthy future. I am delighted and excited to join Future Food in its challenge to accelerate the adoption of transformational and impactful innovations in an open innovation ecosystem environment”<\/em>.<\/p>\n
